After walking around for 3 days,
we collected some rather interesting and fun images from around
the con and the city.
From left to
right: The street outside the con - A statue not far from the
con -
The entrance (Darkmoon Faire rendition) to the World of Warcraft
TCG area.
Different images and angles of the
Serra Angel statue at the con.
All the statue's weight was being supported by the "cloth" that
is shown touching the ground.
An image of the statue at night
and the card it's designed after.
Some of the World of Warcraft wall
hangings over the tournament area.
One of the
evenings of the con around 9pm, the fire alarms went off and we
were forced to evacuate the entire con in minutes. Rumor had it,
there was a grease fire in one of the kitchens.
We were told to collect all belongs before exiting, because
that's the safe way to evacuate. :) As we left, jcrockett began
filming.
Finally, towards
the end of the emergency we ended up in front of the con where
there had been a deadly game of Red Rover going on. People
sending people across the busy road. We could see it now on the
news... "Game of Red Rover turns bloody red." There were no
accidents, but at the end of the video listen to how the winning
team wins.
From left to
right: A strange statue outside the con - A statue standing in
front of the large one -
A piece of a Steampunk outfit for sale - I
believe this is an image of another Steampunk merchandise.
From left to
right: Another wall hang - Large wall hangs hanging in the con -
The greatest phrase for MMOers on a shirt - A tribute game to a
classic cult movie.
From left to
right: I'm just not sure (Ask jcrockett) - See previous image's
statement -
An amazing board game which I was shocked had tournaments for.
Some droids that
were at the con. If you watch closely, the last guy
sitting behind the stormtroopers and Fett is wearing a white
shirt.
He's the one with the remote control operating both droids at
the same time!
